This is our real itinerary while we are in China:
January 8 Arrive in Beijing at 16:25, stay at Wang Fujing Grand Hotel
January 9 Go to the orphanage to meet the child in the morning
January 10 Sightseeing the Great Wall
January 11 Sightseeing the Summer Palace (Should be called the Arctic Palace!!!)
January 12 Registration and apply for child's passport
January 13 Notarization (play lots of SkipBo and watch movies)
January 14 Sightseeing the Forbidden City
January 15 Sightseeing the Temple of Heaven
January 16 Getting the child’s passport
January 17 Fly to Guangzhou from Beijing. Stay at the White Swan Hotel.
January 18 Sightseeing the Liu Hua Lake Park
January 19 Physical test and photo taking. Sightseeing Family Chen’s Temple
January 20 Visa application and sightseeing the Six Banyan Temple
January 21 Sightseeing at the zoo, and getting the visa
January 22 Fly to Beijing from Guangzhou and from Beijing to Chicago then to Omaha
We will be more than ready to come home!

ReplyDeleteHey.. Mom told me what was going on and I spoke to a Chinese attorney that immigrated over here a few years ago. She said that give Madison about 2 months and then she will start crying and miss her friends and tell you that China is better, etc., however, this will pass and all will be right in the world. If she is bored, have her learn English! Also, tell her that her Aunt Kris and Uncle John can't wait to meet her - we're going to be sending her new jammies, Washington DC shirt, etc., so I need sizes. Is her attitude okay? Is she happy?
